Reprinting and Distribution Policy

The Pension Research Council/Boettner Center receives numerous requests each month for reprints of our Working Papers and book chapters for various purposes. Our policy on reprinting and distribution appears below. If you have any questions, please email prc@wharton.upenn.edu. In many circumstances, reprinting without permission is considered theft of intellectual property, and the Pension Research Council/Boettner Center and our partners in publishing will pursue sanctions against any transgression under applicable law.

1. Working Papers

As a rule, the Pension Research Council/Boettner Center holds the copyright for all Working Papers appearing on our website.

Authorized Users

An authorized user may print a single copy of any Working Paper found on the website www.pensionresearchcouncil.org for personal, one-time use. This permission is given to authorized users under the exclusive condition that the copyright notice must appear on the first page of every Working Paper.

Permissions for Other Uses: Books, Pamphlets, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, or Newsletters, or Electronic Distribution on Websites or via Email

To request permission to cite material in our Working Papers, please send a request to prc@wharton.upenn.edu. Please include your full name, address, phone number, fax number, and email address; Working Paper title(s), corresponding author(s) of each Working Paper; and intended use, form of reproduction, and proposed vehicle for the citation. Note that blanket permissions are not issued. If you are working with a specific deadline, please highlight that in your request, and we will attempt to meet your needs. The Pension Research Council/Boettner Center reserves the right to redirect any inquiry regarding a Working Paper to the corresponding author(s) for final disposition. Permission to reprint is neither automatic nor guaranteed.

Disallowed Use

Permission is not granted for use of Pension Research Council/Boettner Center Working Papers for endorsements, implied or otherwise, of products or services, or to use content as part of advertisements or advertising supplements.

2. Book Chapters

In general, the publishing press retains the copyright for book chapters published at www.pensionresearchcouncil.org.

Authorized Users

To request reprint permission, you must contact the press that published the book in which the chapter appears. Permission to reprint is neither automatic nor guaranteed.

For books published by Oxford University Press only: Visit www.plsclear.com for the form to request reprint permission.

For books from all other publishers: Please include your full name, address, phone number, fax number, and email address; book and chapter title(s), corresponding author(s) of each chapter; and intended use, form of reproduction, and approximate press run or distribution.
