The Pension Research Council is pleased to congratulate Executive Director Olivia S. Mitchell on receiving the 2026 ARIA Robert I. Mehr Award for her paper, “Framing and Claiming: How Information Framing Affects Expected Social Security Claiming Behavior,” coauthored with Jeffrey R. Brown and Arie Kapteyn.
Presented annually by the American Risk and Insurance Association, the Robert I. Mehr Award recognizes the paper published in the Journal of Risk and Insurance 10 years earlier that has best stood the test of time.
